Whats happening? Holy Trinity Mothers’ Union are organising this open event with permission from North Lanarkshire Council. All ages are invited to meet the 1K & 5K challenge. This is an inter-generational physical activity, to promote and encourage friendship and social interaction, in the park on your door step. It is open to all ages and abilities from toddlers (with 25 meter TODDLER DASH) to up to 1K, and 5K walk, run or jog. You can enter as an individual or team (teams of any number divide a 1K or 5K distance walk/run/or jog). If you represent a community group and want to be sponsored for the day then feel free to organise your sponsorship around your chosen event.
EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES PROGRAMME (WELCOME TENT OPENS 8.30am)
The START and Welcome Tent is in the Park opposite Dalziel High

Register for and choose your event:
- 9 am: All age 1k walk, jog, run from Primary 5 upwards
- 9.45 am: All age 5 k run from 12 years upward
- 10:45 am: 5 k joggers and walkers all age open event
- TODDLER DASH on a rolling programme every half hour throughout the morning ( 9:30, 10:00,10:30, 11:00, 11:30)
How can you take part? To take part decide on a distance/event, and if you will be part of a team and recruit your team. DECIDE ON A TEAM NAME BEFORE YOU REGISTER THIS WILL BE NEEDED. REGISTER for your event and participation. All events to be self-timed.
PARENTAL CONSENT For your child’s safety, IN ADDITION TO REGISTRATION we require all young persons under the age of 18 to provide written consent from a parent or guardian to take part in Mothers’ Union events. Children in the Toddler Dash (Nursery Age) will be registered by the adult accompanying them. PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE PDF OF CONSENT FORM HERE.
