Lent 2019 : Get involved in practical action on Scottish Food issues (deadline for input 29th March see below) For churches thinking about food in Lent, or already actively involved in food justice with food banks, donations and raising issues about food and human rights then, The Scottish Food Coalition is involved in ‘working for food justice’ and raising the profile of food policy in Scotland. Their website has resources including; discussion documents, booklets and podcast to access on the issues that affect Scotland. Presently there is a Scottish Government Consultation on legislating for ‘A Good Food Nation’ . The closing date is during Lent on 29th March. The online consultation form took me 5 minutes to complete. During the period of Lent there is a real practical response that groups and individuals can make by joining the consultation. Eco-Congregation Scotland is a member of the coalition.
