Mother’s Union Diocesan Festival 2019

Saturday 10th August – Holy Trinity Church hosted the annual Mother’s Union Festival for the Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway. The service of Holy Eucharist for 60 people  was led by the Rector Rev Richard Kilgour, the preacher was Rev Lucy Ireland diocesan chaplain to the mother’s union and Fr Andrew Duff and Rev David Coleman chaplain for Scotland for the Eco Congregation organisation of churches were in attendance.  The organist was Mr Julian Hodgson who accompanied the hymns for choir and congregation, and the cross bearers were Ken Kennedy and Charlie Sargent lay reader emeritus.

A special presentation was made by Diocesan Mother’s Union President Jill Cameron to mark 40 years of long service to Mrs Olga Harding a member of Holy Trinity Branch of the Mother’s Union. Katharine Kilgour branch leader presented Olga with flowers and best wishes as well as a presentation cake after the service.
